Best Karaoke in the Bay
Selected the "Best Karaoke Lounge in the Bay Area" by the Bay Guardian, "Peoples Choice Award" by the San Francisco Chronicle, as well as numerous other awards, The Mint has been featured on CNN Headline News, KPIX Channel 5 in San Francisco, VIACOM Cable Channel 35, and was recently the subject of a yet to be released documentary about karaoke.
Singing and Songs
The Mint has a bar section and a seating section with a view of the live stage (we don't have private rooms). You can see the stage from most angles of the bar as well as numerous tv's with both the songs and stage view playing. Karaoke is free but tips are appreciated. Reservations will be placed on the seating section. Song books are placed all around the bar and you can also view our songbook online form the top nav or here. Choose from over 25,000 songs from all genres of music. The mint also encourages a supporting crowd and any negative outburst are discouraged.
The Mint is a full service bar with a large selection of domestic and imported beers, both bottled and on tap. We have a mix of cocktails, beers and top shelf selections. Everything from PBR, Hefeweizen, IPA's to Don Julio, Macallan 12 year, Glenfiddich 15 year and much more. We also carry a variety of non-alcoholic drinks. We do enforce a 2 drink minimum for all bar goers.
The Mint Karaoke Lounge, a San Francisco institution and once a steakhouse and a piano bar continued its evolution to karaoke in 1993. Since then, The Mint has grown to become one of the world's best known karaoke lounges. Visitors worldwide often come to the Mint straight from the airport, and hotel concierges advise their guests that for karaoke there is no other. It is the favorite haunt of many friendly locals who make a point of dropping by a few times a week.
